The Simpsons Fanatic.
Can you believe that Chad who loves nothing more than to curl up on the couch and watch everyone’s favorite yellow family just like the rest of us. “One of my main goals in life is to be a character on the Simpsons. I love that show. I wouldn’t care if they wanted to make fun of me the whole damn episode – it would be worth it!” admits Chad.

The Prankster?
Back in 2005, Chad and former One Tree Hill co-star Tyler Hilton caused a riot with rumours that they like to blow up mice on remote-control planes. Yes, the guys are said to have an obsession with blowing things up, but the rumours – now dubbed as “Mice Massacre ‘05”, were completely untrue. Luckily Chad is a guy with a sense of humour and was able to see the lighter side of things. “Tyler and I even made T-shirts. They have our mug shots across the front with the words “Wanted” and “Mice Massacre ‘05”. On the back is a picture with a mouse strapped to a plane, and he’s wearing a helmet with fireworks attached. It’s hilarious,” Chad reveals.

The Sports Star
An injury whilst playing high school football led Chad to modeling, which led to acting, which led Chad straight to us. On One Tree Hill, we see Chad shooting hoops in basketball, so is Chad really the sports superstar that we think he is? Yes and no. “I played hockey, football, and soccer – those are my sports. I just don’t have the basketball gene in me…And I try, I do. I try to put all my effort into it, and I just can’t will the ball into the hole,” explains Chad. [Err Chad there’s your problem to begin with – the ball goes into the hoop, not the hole. This isn’t golf…]

The Music Artist?

We’ve seen him belt out “Baby One More Time” in Freaky Friday, and serenade Katie Holmes with “I Want You To Want Me” on Dawson’s Creek, so does that mean we’ll be seeing Chad release a single any time soon? Don’t count on it! “I had to sing Britney’s “Baby One More Time” for Freaky Friday, and I’m not a singer,” reflects Chad. “I love music, I just wish I could play it,” reveals Chad.

The Humanitarian
Chad is very passionate when it comes to youth issues and ensuring that young people have as many opportunities as possible in life. “Education is so, so important,” believes Chad. He is so passionate about the welfare of today’s youth that he’s involved with many charities for children and teens, and anti-drug campaigns. “I want to be a good role model. I got here without drugs and I’m proud of that,” states Chad, before adding, “The whole ‘go for your dreams’ thing may sound corny but it’s the truth. Stick with your goals and don’t worry about what other people think.”




Lover Not A Fighter
Proof that nice guys don’t always finish last, Chad is a strong believer against violence and bad thoughts. “I don’t like being mean to anybody. There’s too much negativity going around in the world to be a jerk,” he states. So what does Chad do when he gets mad? “I take ten seconds to breathe and remind myself I’m healthy. I try to make life as simple as possible,” advises Chad.

The Author
Yep, that’s right, Chad’s writing a book! For Chad, writing is just another creative outlet. “Writing inspires me. I couldn’t live without my journal,” divulges Chad. Sadly for us, Chad will not be releasing his journal. Instead, he is working on a book called “Seven Years” during rare moments of spare time. “Seven Years” is a collection of three stories about a man reflecting during seven years of his life. The book will be about what he sees, thinks, and experiences. We can’t wait for it when it finally comes out!

The Fiancé
Despite it being under a year since he and ex-wife and One Tree Hill co-star Sophia Bush, annulled their five month marriage, Chad has not given up on love. In fact, he became engaged in April to 18 year old One Tree Hill extra, Kenzie Dalton, after a whirlwind three month romance. “Imagine you are walking along and you trip over something and you turn around and find that it is a huge diamond. You would pick it up and do everything in your power to take care of that diamond because it might take care of you for the rest of your life,” Chad explains.

The Movie Star
You’ve seen him in Freaky Friday with Lindsay Lohan, A Cinderella Story with Hilary Duff, and House of Wax with Paris Hilton, but Chad’s ready to branch away from Hollywood’s young hotties, and what better way to do that then star alongside 50 Cent! The upcoming flick Home of the Brave, where Chad plays Jordan Owens, is about American Soldiers who return home from Iraq. “To me it’s kind of the negative purposes of war,” says Chad about the film. So what was it like working with 50? “50’s a great guy. We had an incredible time in Morocco [where “Home of the Brave” was filmed]. He has a massive following in Morocco, they loved him,” Chad gushes.

The Wise Guy
Love him or hate him, you’ve got to admire Chad for sticking to his guns and staying true to who he is. “My rule is to just be who I am…I wake up in the morning proud of the man I’m becoming,” he says. So any words of wisdom that you can share with us Chad? “In the end, it’s not about fame or fortune. It’s about what you leave behind – your work and your family – that really counts,” says Chad.
